A strikingly desolate perspective from the mostly-lovely Springwater Corridor trail along the Willamette (south of OMSI). It is one of our favorite in-city walks, despite the industrial aspect.**I should also note that I am finally back on my feet! -we walked 7 miles along this corridor today! -and last week when L was in town, I managed at least 5 along the same trail. We have yet to try anything more rustic, since I am still tender & I would not want to push it too far. But thank goodness! -what a long, dull several weeks it was. It is wonderful to be walking under the big, undulating sky again instead of buried & bored at home.

me too! I am still only able to wear running shoes, but it is much better than the stupid post-op boot:)
